Hello, I'm Frances.

Welcome to  The Button Box Blog - a place for thoughtful reflections on creativity, handmade living, seasonal moments and the quiet encouragement that helps us keep going. 

I'm a freelance writer and maker behind Fox and Felt, where I create colourful felt designs and run creative workshops.

I write about:

• creativity and confidence
• handmade life and meaningful objects 
• finding community through making
• seasonal rhythms and gentle living
• the stories hidden in ordinary moments

Through both my writing and creative work, I'm interested in how making can bring comfort, connection and confidence - and how creativity often helps us find our way back to ourselves. 

Alongside my blog, I write feature articles and reflective essays inspired by creativity, well being and handmade living.

You'll usually find me needle felting, preparing for a workshop, scribbling down article ideas or hunting for joy in everyday moments.
